Visits to Conservation/Ecological Areas
Walk only on marked trails and don’t wander off the paths. This helps to reduce human impact on forests and protects them.
Be mindful of the recommended distances in which to observe wildlife. Remember some endangered species are protected, so don’t buy products made from these animals or their byproducts. Don’t support this illegal practice. Don’t dispose of trash in these areas. Don’t pluck flowers or wild plants. Leave them in their natural habitat.
Please, don’t feed wildlife!
Feeding wildlife creates a harmful dependency on humans that diminishes the animal’s capacity to survive in the wild. Feeding interferes with the natural ways of wildlife and disturbs their lifecycle balance.
Please, help us get the word out—be an eco-tourist and explain these guidelines to your fellow travelers.
Please don’t disturb nature! Allow it to take its own course.
Avoid starting fires!
For your safety and that of all visitors, please consider that certain weather patterns (dry atmospheric conditions, high temperatures, strong winds) are favorable to the starting and spreading of fires.
Given these conditions, we ask that you take the following safety precautions:
- Don’t smoke.
- Remember that lighting a fire in a forest zone is prohibited.
- Be certain not to leave behind bottles, glass containers or trash that could pose a fire hazard.
